Mash it. Slice it. Spread it. This delicious snack or breakfast is always craveable. And depending on where you are from, it can range from the classic to gourmet. You know, fork mashed avocado spread on a slice of toasted bread, sprinkled with pepper and salt to taste; to the neatly sliced avocado perfectly arranged on a sweet slice of artisan bread topped with bacon, cheese, tuna, lettuce with a sprinkle of chia or sesame seeds.
Anything goes I tell you. Thing is, it should taste great. ..like it supposed to.
I love avocado so I literally have this special toast at least five times in a week. There’s this one time I had a basketful of ripe avocados. I made smoothies. But I couldn’t make to much. So I bought a loaf of bread and decided to eat the avocados; a meal at a time. Tell you what? Lunch tasted different from breakfast and dinner tasted better than lunch because there are so many ways to fancy up your toast. And the most amazing thing is that it’s really filling.
This one is real simple. Just a step from the classic thanks to the boiled egg I added. I light toasted my bread on a pan. I buttered one side first before placing it on a hot pan for a minute before removing. I smashed my avocado in a bowl with a fork and nicely spread it on the slice. I had already boiled an egg so I just sliced that and placed it on the avocado spread. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and dig in!
