Simple, basic recipes always come through when you need to fix easy dishes. Not only easy but delicious. Many people love pasta like I do but we gotta stop boiling and having them plain all the time we gotta have them. I mean, it really gets boring.

So this easy basil pesto pasta recipe will definitely do it for you one of these days. But before I we get to the recipe, let’s talk about the pesto. For you to make pesto, you gotta have basil. Fresh basil is a must have. It works great on pasta dishes and meat. Perfect Pesto has: basil, pine nuts, parmesan cheese,garlic and olive oil. But the good thing is, you can absolutely make it how you want. You can replace or fail to use any one of the ingredients but it’ll be just as good. I didn’t use pine nuts and parmesan for example. I replaced the nuts with sesame seeds and peanuts  (they’re also nuts,right?😜)
Let’s make some Pasta. You will need :

Leaves from 2 bunches of Fresh basil
2 tablespoons sesame seeds & peanuts, toasted
1 garlic clove
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pack pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.

Combine the basil, Sesame seeds + peanuts, garlic, and olive oil in a blender and blend to a puree. Add the salt and pepper, and blend again.

Cook the pasta in the boiling, salted water until al dente, about 3 minutes. Drain and transfer to a large bowl. Add the pesto and toss. Taste for salt and pepper, and add a drizzle of oil, if you like.

It’s as easy as that. Literally.
