Green Is Great!

2018 will be filled with fruits and vegetables that will be turned into amazing green smoothies & salads. I am leaning slightly towards the ‘vegan’ side (can I say that?Lol) and it’s because I need to get detoxed, get a little healthy and I also just have to shed off some weight by March. And guess what?! I’ve lost a few kilos already. So I’m keeping at it.

I used to dread green smoothies till I tried them and saw the results. I love them but I cannot live on them from 1st January to 31st December; maybe just maybe I will try do that this year.

Mangoes are still in season so I’ll be using them a lot in my juices and salads. Why mangoes? Because I need the juices to be a little sweet so that it’s easier for me to have my smoothies. In my Mango Madness Green Smoothie I used:

1 mango, skinned & diced

1 bunch Fresh spinach, chopped

1 cucumber, chopped

1 ginger root, peeled

1 cup water 


Add all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.

Do not sieve the fibre.
